I had this Spectre II on a 10/22 and it was not quite as quiet as I wanted it with the bolt cycling making extra noise and the sound escaping with the blowback. My first 22 rifle was this Marlin so I had it cut down crowned and threaded. I ran some CCI subsonic through it and it is as quiet as a BB gun or airsoft. Perfect for the back yard squirrel hunts to pick off those pesky corn thieves

So, I mounted the scope back on and shot this on private land at a cardboard box with a target stapled on it. The sound of the 22 hitting the box at 65 yards sounded louder than the gun firing.

    A pair of chopped Rugers

Two Rugers that have their barrels cut down yet still use the factory front sights.

    Nice!

Those look a little more usable than the ones that people cut down to where there's basically no barrel left at all.

The whole reason for these two pistols is that they can shoot any 22 lr ammo subsonic. It’s nice to shoot bulk ammo quietly.

Grumpy’s Guns our of Texas did the work. He was reasonable in both cost and time.

    Thank you. :)

It's funny. I found their site yesterday while looking for barrel threading sources. I thought their site looked familiar.

I finally finished my two projects since my Form 1s came in.

    MP5K clone & KISS 10.5" AR15.

Thats pretty slick. What barrel lengths are the two in the picture?

ETA; just realized you did not post the pics

I didn't, but I'd guess a 2.5" - 3.5" barrel based on the pics. IIRC when Iraqvet8888 had one on their channel they said it was about a 2" rifled "barrel" on theirs, and it was cut short enough that the suppressor contacted the front of the receiver.

I can tell you from experience that the length of the barrel does not crud up the suppressor any faster. 22 lr is a dirty round and I need to really clean out the compensator on my long barrel Ruger ever 1k rounds.

I like that little 2" barrel version. Where did you get that done?
