I won't even try to upstage the new Hickok45/CZ Shadow 2 video .

Those look like Heritage targets. Good shooting. I don't think that was one of Hickok's best videos but he did say he doesn't know much about CZs. He was "UMing" a lot in that video.

You can tell that about the only prep he does is shoot a couple of magazines thru the gun he's testing before they hit record. Otherwise, the rest of it is all ad-libbed and not terribly informative. I like watching him shoot. He's got a personal range that most of us can only dream of owning and still has a pretty good eye.

Well, that's not nearly as bad as getting caught motorcycle shopping like I did recently. You wouldn't believe how long it took to talk my way out that one!

Well, my lawn mower just died so there goes my CZ dreams....

    Such is life....

tell me about it. had to get 15 trees taken out of the back yard, and my trucks rear dif replaced recently. there were several CZs at my LGS that would have come home with me if not for those expenses...

Never fails, my brother. I was sitting on top of the world this time last year. Then, my wife comes home from a routine wellness exam and colonoscopy one afternoon and and tells me she's been referred to an oncologist...

Stay strong. Work some OT (like I do) and the Custom CZ's will be here whenever you're ready. It's not like you could get along without a lawnmower out in your neighborhood. More like, a lawn tractor!

ugh....Man, that sure gives me perspective....;)

I always listen to a podcast called Team Never Quit driving to work. It's Marcus Luttrell's and I've mentioned it before. Stories of people who have had a difficult time and got through it. Most inspiring is a soldier who got blown up and woke up a quadriplegic. He marches through life with a smile on his face. At least, that is how he projects himself.

Does the fact CZ has the slide inside the rails allow you to "ride the slide" (a la Bob Vogel) without getting pinched.

I tried doing the Vogel grip on a "normal" slide and it was interesting to say the least.

I picked up this this all steel P-01 from the guys at 2A Sales! I took it out this weekend and it ran great! Anyone looking to get a CZ should go to the shop and check out the collection!

Yes, but you do it almost unconsciously. CZ's seem to work best with a high hold/high grip. You don't necessarily have to make an effort to ride the slide though, at least, I don't. If you still haven't tried one yet, promise me you'll try a standard, classic CZ-75 first. It's the one that started it all in the modern era for CZ.

To me, that's one of the coolest versions of the P-01. It's also known unofficially as the SP-01 Compact and this is the second or third year that CZ has done limited runs of them. Nice pick-up!
