Rock Island announced today that they're auctioning John Garand's presentation M1, SN 1,000,000. Probably the prettiest M1 I've ever seen. Lord knows what it'll bring. Just know it wont' be going to my safe!

Always a chance the highest bidder is a museum. Or the highest bidder turns around and donates or puts it in permanent loan to a museum.

Beautiful rifle. Everyone says it's just a tool and should be shot. This is not one of those. Should be at a proper museum to be viewed by everyone. Dude definitely needs money.
