I'm down to the final purchase for my 10/22 build....the stock.

I'm undecided between the Hogue overmolded and the Bell and Carlson Anschutz.

The Hogue is a little cheaper and has a more traditional look, the B+C has the raised comb that would help with the scope.

    Both are good stocks......grrrrr.

    Anyone have any input?

    I like the Hogue's.

I just like the look, not flashy, just a no frills working stock.

I know you've seen it bofore, but I love it so ;) ............

I'll admit that I'm leaning towards the Hogue for that very reason as well as the fact that it's cheaper. I've got as much in this 10/22 as a decent AR and don't need some space age stock.

I'm going to put an adjustable buttpad on this thing too.

Is yours the rubber or synthetic outer skin?

    Rubber.

Spend the extra money on the trigger and accessories.

I've decided on the hogue for myself, i like the "squirrel sniper" look of it.

Your 10/22 reciever is green right? That'll look sweet with the black stock.

Already got the Hornet products trigger assembly, Mueller APV Scope, Millet rings, Adams and Bennett 18" bull barrel.....pretty much ready to go :D

    Norton I know you didn't ask.........but I like this one. :)

I may build one on one of those stocks for the wife, eventually. I don't have anything against them, but sort of wanted a quasi-sniper kinda rifle this time around.

Actually the receiver is blued but i bought the Hornet camo trigger assembly which is Dura-Coated OD Green.

I think I'm going to do everything in OD green, including the scope.

But the Bell and Carlson's are so pretty!

    ....and expensive!

I really like the Odyssey with the 3 way buttstock but it's just way too rich for my blood right now.

    Maybe one day....

I like the Yukon extreme stock much better than the hogue I had. The hogue sat a little high for iron sights, but a little low for a scope, the Yukon is just right for high rings and a 40mm scope, and fit the action well. I used some glass and aluminum sheetmetal to bed the action, and it fits tight. The stock is very comfortable, where you can grab the pistol grip using the thumbhole, or rest your thumb just behind the reciever, and it balances right on the front palm swell, making for a natural follow through for shots on moving targets, or using a benchrest. Might not be exactly what you are looking for though.
