No I'm not going to advertise for help moving the sucker, I do need advice on whether or not the door can be removed? Does anyone have any experience with these types of safes? The opening to my basement is 26 1/4 inches wide and the safe's dimensions states it's 25 1/2 inches deep. What it doesn't consider is the additional space needed for the combo knob and the opening wheel.

So in short that door needs to come off in order to fit through the door.

    Thanks in advance

Well, depending on how much space is available next to the basement door on the inside; you could open the safe door, slide the body of the safe through and to the side and then push the safe back until the door clears the opening.
