I heard back from them earlier this evening. They no longer do the event, sadly. Attendance and volunteers to run the event faded away after the first two shoots. One was held as recently as 2016, judging by my search results. How unfortunate.
Yeah....he left because of the anti-gay sentiment here.
That's a damn shame.

It's unfortunate but its getting pretty common with charity events across the board. It's also getting complicated in the business side to do stuff like that too.
