Going to Dulles Expo National Gun show this weekend. Looking for a 22LR Bolt Action with Peep sights.

Can I buy that legally at the show? Think I can but, not 100% sure so asking.

    Thanks,

As long as you buy from an FFL it's OK. If you are not dead set on a bolt action, I put Tech Sights on my 10-22 and I love it!

Absolutely. Rimfire rifles are not regulated. Semi auto or bolt action. You can even have a tubular magazine >10 rounds capacity.

Look for a Kimber 82G there are usually some floating around shows because the CMP used to sell them, army training rifles.

Here is the story of the Kimber 82G.

Thanks. Not looking for anything expensive. Scouts tend to beat on guns pretty hard. Hoping to find one with a synthetic stock but, if I find a bargain I will jump on it if, the gun is in good shape.

    Thanks,

Look at the Savage MARK I FVT. We use a bunch of them for Boy scouts. They are single shot and have peeps. The are awesome rifles. The Mark II has a box mag.

If it is for the scouts get the club affiliated with the CMP and buy through them:
    http://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/22-target-commercial/

Savage Mark I-FVT or Mark II Junior Smallbore Rifle $257.

    PDF file about the program:
    https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/SavageBrochure.pdf

    From the CMP web site:
    http://thecmp.org/clubs/affiliate/

The CMP has MOU (Memoranda of Understanding) agreements with the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and Navy JROTC Commands, National 4-H Shooting Sports and the Boy Scouts of America to support the marksmanship programs of these organizations. These agreements automatically make all JROTC units with marksmanship programs, 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs and BSA/Venturing Crews with marksmanship affiliates of the CMP. As an MOU Affiliate, JROTC units, 4-H Shooting Sports Clubs and BSA organizations do not pay annual CMP affiliation fees. Even though MOU's are automatically affiliated with the CMP, these organizations must still enroll with the CMP by submitting an Affiliation Application so that the CMP will have contact information for them.
