    Hey folks, I having a hard time determining if an AR-15 Pistol is legal to purchase in MD.

    Specifically the Fedarm AR-15 Pistol

    Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

    Any handgun has to be on the handgun roster to purchase in Md. A sample would have to be submitted to the board for approval.
    Thank you. I'm assuming it's considered a handgun because the barrel length is less than 16?

    I checked unless Fed Arms (Federal Armament) goes by another name its not on the list.

    Who would submit a sample? A dealer? How long would that take?

    Typically a dealer would submit the sample. Not sure how long it would take. Why not just buy a stripped lower and build yourself? Very easily done.

    It may have changed, but at least a little while ago there were no AR pistols on the handgun list. A PAP is on there as is a Krinkov.

    It takes a couple/few months IIRC and it is usually a dealer or FFL that submits it. I don’t believe a private citizen could directly.

    There have been multiple on the roster for several years, but most were added after 2013.
