Is this new? When I got my M1 through the DCM they shipped it directly to my house. No C&R.

No C&R needed to accept from CMP, (Special direct to door deal) C&R can be used to satisfy marksmanship/firearms use requirement (ABAICR)

They act as ffl if you don't have ffl 03

The part I quoted.. "except cmp"

Cmp does the nics check (they are ffl and only allowed sale ifnyou have proper documents required)

    ;)

You would definitely be exempt from the 29in oal if it were a dedicated .22lr rifle , for example an 15-22 . For somthing like a dedicated .22lr Upper that would use a standard AR-15 lower, I would have my doubts, but will defer to someone with specific knowledge instead of making a declaritive statement at this time.

Good choice. A dedicated 22 AR platform is a great way to build rifle skills. I converted a Remington 597 into a dedicated AR platform. It's fun to shoot, affordable, and if you ever go to a full calibre AR platform, you'll already have many of the skills needed.

    Ya
After last week getting my jaw rattled on a 308 and shooting all over the place with 223, I figured I need to take it like an 8 yo and learn properly.
Maybe even teach my kids on it one day

An excellent plan short term and long term.

What do u guys recommend for ammo?

Strictly target practicing and working on stance and mechanics.

It's affordable and consistent. Whatever you do, pick one round and stick with it.

The 15-22 is an amazing little platform. Perfect for learning and ammo burning!!

    Yup.
    1000+ rounds, still not @ $50.
Just not very macho, but first guns shouldn't be macho anyways...
    Imo
