Does anyone have any insight into open carrying in MD? Are we even allowed to? I have literally no idea about the rules and regulations for it in MD. I do know about concealed carry though.

Open carry of a long gun is not technically illegal except in a few named jurisdictions.

However once you read all the fine print you will find that by default it is mostly prohibited.

Anywhere in specific I should read? I just want to educate myself on the topic.

No one asks for any kind of permit or gives you any other issue?

    Nope.

I'm guessing that it's a combination of people don't really notice or if they do they think you must be a cop because it's not a normal occurrence.

The last Steel Challenge match I shot up at Delta last month I picked up another MDS member in White Marsh and we rode up together. Stopped at a WaWa in Bel Air to get some breakfast and I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. Not a peep.

And there’s no law prohibiting people from open carrying pistols?
