Who has the best selection?. I am in the market for an over under and would like to swing the steel before I buy. Currently getting back into shooting skeet/trap and the only rounds my a391 will cycle are some hard hitting and expensive loads. Been to a couple places so far and not impressed with available selection. It may be the times, but hopefully someone here knows of a place with a few i can fondle. Outdoor world seemed a bit high on pricing.

I agree with Jim. There’s something wrong with it if it won’t cycle target loads. I’ve even seen those cycle 7/8 oz 12 ga reloads. I’d send it to Coleguns. They’re a warranty shop for Beretta.

If you’re wanting to buy an O/U anyway, The only place to go is Joel Etchens in PA. Largest Beretta dealer in the country. They’ll treat you right and get it fitted.

I am going to see if some target loads cycle thru it tonight or this weekend. When i first got the gun new(many years ago) I recall issues with it cycling anything lighter than Nitro 1300fps shells. I'm going to try again because i don't know why i accepted that in the first place.

Can one buy a long gun out of state? I'm in MD and that place looks like it may be worth the 3 hour drive.

Cash and carry for O/U shotguns after a NICS check. Yes, it’s worth the drive.

Have you thoroughly cleaned your Beretta? Sounds like there's a blockage in the gas system somewhere. I'm not having that problem with my 391.

I would agree and suggest that you try cleaning the gas ports and the entire gas system. For 12 gauge, you can spin a 1/8" drill bit in your fingers to remove carbon from the ports.

Here's a thorough description of how to do a detail strip and cleaning:
