Bought a little Stevens .410 single shot from a guy I worked with a while ago, recently took it apart for rebluing, and decided to refinish the stock, and that I did. Thought ya'll would be proud of me. :D:innocent0
Lemme know if you like it

In real life, the color is more deep/rich than that but I think it turned out really well. Looks like a totally new gun! :D

The toes and sock you will find are all present and accounted for, however, they are obstructed by the shoe :D

I picked up a kit from Tackle Box, brand was Birchwood Casey. Did a pretty good job. Touched up the SKS too, made it look more evil again. :innocent0
Not bad for 15 bucks

Socks or not, you did a nice job on your Stevens.

I've used the same Birchwood Casey cold blue to touch up spots on more than a few guns. It's not as durable as hot blue, but if you keep your finish oiled and cared for it'll last for quite a while.

    You done good.

That was my first time both bluing and refinishing a stock.
