Nice. I like that little Rock Island Armory one too. Can you get those with double stack mags?

The Springfield is a single stack and I think the rock island compact above is too. If you want a double stack , I know that there is a " fat boy" model I believe mde by ATI. It's good looking but I've heard mixed reviews.

As long as at least 10 will fit in the mag. I like my Auto-Ordance to carry where it's legal, but I'd like like more than 7 rounds if possible.

ATI calls it's double stacks 2011s vs 1911s and they are great quality. I'm pretty sure Para Ordanance, Kimber and even Springfield Armory have made double stacks at one point or another, the latter being fairly rare.

Ok so I FINALLY had my S&W PC1911 to the range and it was spectacular! Tight groupings, amazing trigger, just made me grin from ear to ear!

The target sights are perfect save one thing... Low light - no es bueno... What do you guys do to brighten up the sight picture? Swap em out for nights sights? Whose would you recommend?

A quick pic of a really great gun... BTW, I conditioned with FireClean, yeah after this picture was taken, all that sweat wiped off with a paper towel!

    Cheers,

    Ian

Try some white out on the front sight. If that doesn't work then look for other options. Target sights usually have a very narrow rear notch which makes low light harder to deal with then standard combat style sights. I have had a couple 1911s with target sights like those and hate them. Have a look at John Harrison Custom replacement sights, or maybe 10-8.

Looks good... even if I would never be caught dead with one. :innocent0

I've put only around 500 rounds through mine so far, but I've been pretty impressed. I also have been thinking about the sights... I'm considering a fiber optic front sight replacement on mine, though I am also considering drilling it out an putting a gold or brass dot in the factory sight. I just have not time to do much of anything lately.

Picked up a Kimber 22lr conversion kit a couple weeks ago from 2A Sales. Works great on my S&W 1911TA E-Series.
