After reading a bunch of good reviews on here I decided to pick one up. It looks good with the Rough Rider even though the furniture doesn't match, and best of all it is another 100% American made gun! Any suggestions for a decent scope for it? Or should I leave it as is?

Congrats. You'll have fun with your Henry.

As suggested, break it in and become familiar with what it does with iron sights. You can decide on a scope later. It should run well out of the box with CCI Mini Mags. It isn't a precision shooter, but at 75 yards it should do this or better with iron sights.

Enjoy it and post up your targets. :D

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am going to stay with the iron sights. As Kman mentioned, I think a scope would look out of place on it.

I thought the same, but shooting past 25 yards with a 22, its hard to see your holes. I have a leupold 2x7 on my henry. It looks great and shoots even better.

I've an H001 Henry and it's iron sights were as on target as my eyes can see to shoot at about 40-50 yards. For me, for plinking with .22, that's plenty. No scope needed.
