I have a Mossberg 500 that misfires about once every three or four rounds. It lightly dents the primer but doesn't fire the shell. It's not the ammo because its happened with bird shot and slugs from different manufacturers. I've looked it up and apparently you can send it back to Mossberg and they will fix it but all you do is put it in a box and mail it to Texas with a note in there telling them whats wrong and where to send it back when its fixed. My question is has anyone ever done this or know anyone that has? I'm hesitant to send my gun to Texas without even telling someone its coming.

    Welcome.

Email them first. I sent a .308 Scout Rifle back to them about 6 months ago. It was only supposed to take 14-21 days but I honestly think they misplaced it. Got the run around from customer service. Finally got a manager involved and two months later all was well.
