It wasn't BS until this thread came along.

That's OK, different strokes............ my SKS a Chicom, brand new from Rose's a couple decades ago. It goes bang and reasonable for a pray and spray, nothing more, nothing less. Some guns just look like pure shit to me, if had both Khrushchevs and Stalins ugly assed Nagant Id part it out on Ebay. If I had Eddie Sloviks only dropped once Garand Id hump it like it were my dogs favorite sock.

I have a 1972 Maverick that is in perfect condition.

This gun is the equivalent of Maverick serial number 00002 ... not just any Maverick. That's what elevates it. I agree, if it were 18 months newer, you are pricing it correctly.

If you don't get it - you don't get it ... and you are correct, its overpriced for you.

If I were an SKS collector (and didn't have one of these already - which I happen to have purely by accident) ... I'd have made a relatively high offer.

That its still available, shows, to me ... that the SKS collector market is going soft.

Hey Abulg1972 - That is one nasty avatar.

    Sorry to threadjack.

I agree. I'm going to start avoiding his posts if he doesn't change it.

Hey, Andy, here's a much better avatar for you to use.

I disagree that Maverick 00002 is special :)
