    LOWA Zephyr GTX....I first started wearing LOWA's during my SF days...out of the box I was doing 25 mile ruck marches with minimum blistering....been wearing them now for 20 years! They are German/Slovakian made and a little on the expensive side.

    I've been wearing Timberland hikers of various styles for the last couple of years. Seems like most boots are too narrow for my feet (I have EEE - EEEE feet). Merrells are definitely out of the question and Timberland seems to fit well. Rocky and Wolverine also seem to make decent boots as well.
