    Hello,

I’ve gone through the IP section and am not sure who to ask.

I am looking for my wife to get her HQL this summer in August.

After discussion she would be more comfortable with a private training and preferably a female. In addition to having the training qualify for the HQL she would like some instruction on properly handling a handgun and maybe some other long guns.

We don’t get to shoot together often, and she is more resistant to my training than she would be toward an independent party.

Ideally this would be in the Carroll county/ Baltimore county area.

If you provide this or know someone who does, please contact me!

    Thank you for your time.

Hey there. Locally, I'd suggest checking with Geared Up Firearms in Westminster, and Bollinger's in Taneytown. They both offer training, and even if they don't do 1:1 classes, they might be able to steer you the right way.

Also check out Fortress Training. They have women-only classes but I don't know if they do 1:1 training.

I'll bet almost any instructor will do a private class if you pay him/her enough.

    You might also try

I've talked to Paula at many of the local (Howard County, Frederick, Timonium) gun shows.

Paula is good people. I heave worked several Women on Target programs with her. She is good.

You also might look for one of the WoT classes. It is not private but usually all women. THe instructors are female. But what you get to range, there will be guys there to help. I have not run across and asshat at one of these events yet.

Balt Co game and fish is sponsoring one in July. Check the NRA calendar or bcgf.org.
