So be it.

Someone else is bringing the bourbon and glasses, so I'll bring consumption LOL. Oh, and more bourbon.

That makes sense, and I certainly hope so. My range is currently open only to law enforcement and first responders.

Getting a fraction of a percent of them to inch towards a slightly more libertarian or constitutionalist world view because of their new misadventures while trying to buy a gun in Maryland won't make a dent in the generations-long leftist cultural rot that is the real problem.
This. They are not changing their minds just because they're scared for a little bit.

No quarter.

[QUOTE=MaxVO2;5833620]l.

Ironically, the only folks that seem unarmed are the typical white liberal educated folks, and liberal Jews. Dunno why. My Grandma was Jewish, survived the holocaust - and hated guns. I've always thought if more folks from my gramma's generation had guns, it would have been a lot harder to haul them off to their deaths. Seems kinda a no-brainer: no guns = hauled off to the camps with almost no fight vs. have guns = not quite so easy to be hauled off to the camps, with a few of the haulers dead trying to haul you off..
.

Why educated folks and liberal Jews? My theory is that majority of gun control measures are pushed by upper middle class. Why? Because these are people that have total control of CHOICE - IE where to live, where to send kinds to school, money for alarm systems, etc. Upper middle class families can pick up and move, almost wherever they want if things go downhill where they currently live. In many of these neighborhoods, there is almost negligible perceived risk of being a victim of random violent crime. Guns are largely thought of as unnecessary. Or if they do think guns are ok, they think a hunting rifle or shotgun is plenty.

My grandfather on my moms side was Jewish and survived almost 3 years in Auschwitz. His entire family was killed. He only survived because he was young and fit, and was sent to a neighboring camp which manufactured rubber products for IG Farben (which led to life long COPD and ultimately his death at 78).

I am told he distinctly remembered forced registration, followed by door to door confiscation of firearms from the Jews.

My grandfather was very pro gun for these reasons, although according to my mother did not own one when he came to the states and raised a family. I know for a fact he was a part of an operation after the war that helped smuggle guns to Germany to kill remaining Nazi's and also to Israel before their independence. My mother as a young girl once overheard a conversation about his alleged disposal of several nazi sympathizers in DC. He was definitely a badass MF.

That being said, I still grew up in a liberal Jewish home, although I would say we were pretty moderate. Not a single gun in the house that I ever knew of. I was never "anti-gun", but I was definitely uneducated about them.

Once I got to college my eyes opened to many things, guns included. I've voted party line Republican ever since.

As some other poster mentioned, I also know people that wouldn't stay one night in a house if they knew it had a gun of any kind in it. My mother initially freaked out when I told her I owned several AR15's, but thankfully she is reasonable and intelligent and I was able to educate her on some things and she's ok with them now.

I bet I haven't spent many nights in a house without a gun in it.

No f#&€ing way I help to facilitate, in any way shape or form, arming those people.

I believe most of us fall into this type of thinking. You can usually get cues on whether first time buyers are worth the effort.

I'm also buyin' what you're selling. A gun for them does not make them a convert to our cause.

If one burns their red mommies shirts and puts on a MAGA hat, that might be a first and worth a second look.

Not that he's a liberal, but Tim Pool just now on a live feed said he was in favor of background checks, but now he's not, exactly because the feds shut down NICS. His words more or less: "we (the feds) won't ban guns, but you need to to a check through us. Oh, and we're not longer doing the checks."

His co-host doesn't have one...but wants one.

And the chick who's role I don't know (off camera, but always part of the discussions) is "firmly 2A."

Tim's been taking his red pills daily now for a few years.
