I carry my Shield 9 AIWB every day in a Crossbreed holster. So comfortable it's easy to forget it's there. Super concealable even in a t-shirt.
One in the chamber or C3?

Nice holster though.
Always with one chambered. One in the chamber or C3?
You should have shot it like that. Just to see if it works.
glock, enough said.
Ya know, if you're worried and scared about shooting yourself in the femoral, maybe you shouldn't carry that way. I refuse to be uncomfortable (physically or mentally) about types of carry.
Thousands of people use shoulders holsters and have pistols in backpacks that point at everyone, everywhere. No one seems to be concerned about that.
I'm as uncomfortable carrying AIWB as I was when I first started carrying with one in the chamber. After carrying for a while, I got more and more comfortable. This too shall pass.
I spent the past three days camping with the wife and kids. I carried AIWB the entire time. By day 2, I disengaged the safety on my shield and proceeded to make myself get over this irrational fear. So far so good, but I still have not reached the level of comfort that I have when carrying at 4 o'clock. I know it's all in my head. I'm taking it one day at a time.
