Any reason you wouldn't just switch your current carrier to AT&T? IIRC, you said the wife has it and you get deals for multiple lines making it cheaper.

I wish it were that easy. Where we currently live, Verizon is the only way to go. I cannot get an AT&T signal in my neighborhood. On the mountain, it's the opposite :D

Ask around, some of those secondary marketers like Cleartalk may use AT&T for their network and you could get a burner phone for when you are up there. You can probably set up a re-route on your verizon account (or use the get-away spot for just that and only give out the mountain-phone number to those who know not to harass you).

I’m checking on that now. Thanks.

Gotcha. Just trying to think of ways to save some $$$ for ya.

Thank you Sir. After buying this place, I need to save all the money I can.

I didn't immediately make the connection between this thread and the motorcycle thread. Now that I have, the answer is obvious. You don't want a GS, you NEED a GS.

Hahaha!!!! I do have my 4Runner but riding up here in a GS would be a lot more fun. I’m thinking the Street Twin will have to go, then get a GS. Thanks Enabler :D

Norton’s “Slice of heaven” thread made me want to share some pics with you guys. Wife and I spent our 19th wedding anniversary at our place in WV and all I can say is that view never gets old.

Did you ever get cell service yet? In our neck of the woods we have tv, land line and cell that runs through the router. 300 bucks a month but that's the price of living 7+ miles in on a 1 lane dirt road.
Should we lose everything even the land line goes **** up since it too goes through internet. 10,000 watt generator gets most everything back online.

Yes. I got an AT&T mifi device that my phone connects to. I pay $40/month for it for 50 gigs. It works really well.

Ohhh man , looks so nice . The conversations are so much better at a campfire .
Yes sir, they sure are a lot better.

Great view. Congrats on 19 years!!
    Thank you.

Looks great! Glad you're getting over there and enjoying it!
If it weren’t for my kids still being in school, I would sell my house and move up here.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I have never been to WV yet.
You owe it to yourself to take a trip. It is truly beautiful
    Outstanding!
