I saw something very interesting at the NRA Museum yesterday:
They had a bolt action double barreled rifle. It was chambered in 416 Rem magnum and was an eight shot capacity with double triggers. You shoot 1 barrel then the next, open the bolt and the empties are ejected out of both sides of the, then close the bolt on 2 fresh rounds.
the little sign in the case explained that the designer thought of this setup after he was charged by 3 elephants at one time. I guess necessity really is the mother of invention.
I wish I had a camera I would have taken a picture of it. It was a beautiful gun and a fantastic design. Bring on those elephants!
