I thought Maryland forebode anyone under 21 from handgun possession? Maybe that's what the charge should read, instead of possession by a minor.

The first misdemeanor carries a possible sentence of 3 years, so he will lose his firearm ownership rights forever.
As if he cares? He deliberately carried a weapon illegally into a school. No law will stop this criminal.

Illegal possession is illegal possession, in the eyes of the law.
I am not defending his actions, he should have known better. But what if he was carrying it for self defense?

Doesn't sound like anyone was in possession if a school resource officer found the bag and looked inside to see who it belongs to.

The issue is that he, as a 19 year old, had a handgun and he had it in school.
Most of us who carry make sure we carry within the scope of the law. Even if Maryland had reasonable CCW laws, we would not be allowed to carry on school grounds and so we would abide by the law.

Did I see "minor" in that last charge? That punk is 19 according to the article - 19, Hell 18, means ADULT!
So, you support teens bringing guns to school in today's world.
Now, I did it when I was in school but that was a different world. Today, with the way kids escalate violence, it would be out and out nuts.

Thanks for making my point crystal clear. You support your rights, but not someone's with a funny-sounding name who is much younger than you, but still an adult. Either that, or you are for raising the age of adulthood .
