    Not far from Frederick
Heading over early afternoon today. Any point to carrying wads of cash these days, or are all the tables cc capable in 2019? Still free to get in if you extend your NRA membership, right?

Yes, still free to get in if you join or renew NRA. Cash is king, not all but most sellers do take plastic.

I may head over Saturday AM if I choose to bail on going to the Oaks show. I am equally distant from each show. I only have been to the Oaks Extravaganza but have been to many, many Chantilly shows. Is a "standard" Oaks show better than Chantilly for C&R type stuff?

First time there is a while. Doesn’t seem as good as it used to be, a lot more tables with random stuff.

A lot of chinese stuff at the shows. Too many people want to build on the extremely cheap. :mad54:

I am at the point now I go there looking for ammo, pelican type boxes, mag holsters, roll pins and stuff. There really are not many deals on firearms. A bunch of shotties I would like but MD laws make it dicey at best especially with bull pup shot guns.

Looking for a Ruger AR-556. Anyone see one for sale? And price?

I saw a few, think the prices were upper $500's. If you can wait, I'd buy from GymRatz. Good guy too.

First time going there for me. Show was ok, seemed crowded. Nothing caught my eye so grabbed a couple AR mags. Little pricey when you factor in the entry charge, so probably won't go that often. Prices seemed meh to OMG. :)

I have been going to this show for the last 15 years or so. I go there once or twice a year. I don't go there looking to buy a firearm, just to walk around. Four years ago, I was at my usual pace of walking around when I saw a Dan Wesson Specialist that is a blem model. The price was so good that I just have to get it. Still have that DW today. The only firearm that caught my eye today was a 1990 Browning HP that I think was priced at $875. The finish looks very close to new. If I don't already have two Hi Powers, I may have been tempted to get that one.

I found a rare Winchester model 1890 in 22LR. For most people say big deal !! Until you do the homework and find out that the 1890 was available in 22 short, or 22 long , or 22 WRF. But in production numbers the 22 LR was only 1.5 percent of the 775000 guns produced. Bore shiny with 0 pitting. Gun has patina. But was not abused. Been on my long list a while. Beautiful gun. Other than my grandfather owning 1 . I had never seen another 1 in person in my life. Plenty off .22 short 1s to be found.

Just arrived, 2pm Sunday. Parked all the way at the far end of the Walmart parking lot in between two enormous brodozers, one from MD and one from PA. Short line for tickets.
