Is there a 21 Day waiting period if you drop off a firearm to sell for consignment or can you guys put it out to display and sell right away?

In MoCo there's a 21-day wait before releasing it for sale so serial numbers can be checked to verify a firearm isn't stolen. When I was a LEO we regularly checked pawn shop reports...occasionally there would be a hit on a serial number but not often.

I think they can display right away but can't do sales paperwork until after the waiting period.

I believe so. I see Atlantic show guns but put "good to sell" dates on things

Yup. I actually saw a used gun at United I was interested in buying. It was still in the waiting period and there was one person listed as interested, so I was placed in line as second prospective buyer. I did not get the gun. The first guy did.

MoCo politicians think guns grow on trees and have to ripen for 3 weeks.
