    I bought a R3 a couple of months ago. The upper is very well built, and the fluted barrel looks really good.

    RRA does not list the R3 as a "heavy barrel" on their web site. When I inquired by email, RRA said that they do consider it to be a heavy barrel:

    Everything is so "gray" with non stamped HBAR's. I have sold several of these uppers to Maryland residents though.

    btw that is good info.

    Would love to have one of their .458 uppers.... Too steep right now :(

    I sold one of their LAR .458 SOCOM Beast packages last week. They sure got the "beast" part right. Sweet gun but better have a ATV to take it where you are going.

    FYI... I can get a .458 SOCOM CAR A4 Upper Half for $575.00

    I agree on the "gray", but isn't it legal to sell ANY Upper to a Maryland resident?
    I realize a lot of folks don't have registered lowers and therefore are looking for HBAR Uppers, but that isn't on the FFL is it ? Uppers are all just "Parts" and therefore can be bought and sold freely...at least for now.

    Very true. Anyone can order an Upper and have it shipped to their front door. It is the act placing a non-hbar upper on a post 10-01-13 lower that makes it illegal.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    BTW, that is a good deal on the RRA Upper. I have a few RRA's and they are very good quality.

    Can you get any deals on the Current RRA 1911's ? (Steel) ??

    Sure can. I do not stock them but as an example I can get a PS2225 RRA 1911-A1 Carry Pistol .45 ACP for $1399.99.
