Fishing Codorus

Im taking my 12 year old grandson fishing Codorus later. We will be fishing from the bank.Does anybody have any tips for fishing there this time of year?
It would be cool to catch enough panfish to cook up for him.

He got a kayak for christmas(I already have one) we plan on fishing from them once it warms up.If anybody can help us out with fishing this lake we would be grateful.

I am in MD and have camped, mountain biked and disc-golfed at Codorus but have never bought a PA license to fish there. If it ends up being a good place, maybe I'll try it out.
