Note to self: go to gun shows in AL.

Usually a Python or five at gunshows here.

    Very nice - Congratulations!

FN/FAL - Alas, an unrequited dream never to be realized because I live in Maryland...

Thanks! Only illegal guns here are "rifles or shotguns disguised as walking canes".

That must be what they mean by gun show loophole.

    Nice looking piece there

:lol2: Actually just lots of good stuff at shows here. :lol2:

And really, who can resist a tall svelte Swede with great figure?

    Sweet find Bolts!
Trying to figure out what type wood that is. Eye catcher.

Looks like Tiger wood aka:Goncalo Alves. Coul be curly maple. Hard to tell without it being right in front of me.

    Hey Bolts, whats up man?

The table is birdseye maple, the stock is European walnut. Goncalo Alves was never used by the Swedes.

    As for what's up.....my gun collection...........:D

Damn, theres a table there. Didn't even see that.

Was looking at the stock, and since I don't know much about collecting them I didn't know they didn't use Goncalo. I have had several old bows that used it, and the pattern looks very similar.

Wish you could have been here last session. We could have got thrown out together.

Doesn't get any prettier than that! And a bonus for not overpaying.
As to the FAL, shame on you for not indulging, tactical shorts or not ;) . Too fine a firearm to not have at least one in the collection. Canadian black walnut that was used on their C1 is stunning too. Never too late to grab one!

Goncalo is too expensive and heavy for rifle stocks.

I didn't go to the Asylum my last year there, 2015, because I no longer had the patience to hold my tongue to any degree with those leftarded jackasses. My time in Free America makes it even less likely I would.

This was a pair of brothers selling their father's estate and they had no idea what prices to set, they just winged it. I offered to give them a hand for a few minutes if they'd knock a $100 off that rifle to keep my "$400 Alabama Find" streak going. They had a few things priced a little high and few way too low, spent about 45 minutes with them and looking stuff up on Gun Broker to give them ask & take prices.

As for the FAL it is a fine rifle but I have two .308 gas guns already and limited safe space. Plus I'm currently collecting cowboy guns, last four were a Pedersoli Down Under sharps in .45-70, Uberti 1873 short rifle with 18.5" barrel, Uberti High Wall in .38-55 and just today an Uberti 7" Schofield in .45 Colt with color case frame, fire blued barrel & cylinder.
