    I thought you meant an actual Ulberht like this one. Yes, I had it in my hand a couple years ago.

    I want one because I have been making the bolt and bolt carriers for them! The shop I work at has been making a couple of other parts for it too. Have not gotten to see the whole rifle in person but I still want one

    I saw a discovery channel special on those swords... cliff notes: crucible steel sword during when everyone else was using iron. Pretty cool.

    Now thats impressive.

    Old friend of mine actually makes crucible Wootz steel and blades from it. On that particular original Ulfberht sword he was commissioned to make a new guard to match the original pommel, repair a broken tang and regrip it. Some of the work was done at Baltimore Knife & Sword in Marriottsville.

    I held that sword too, my girlfriend at the time kissed it haha!

    Weren't those guys in the old clipper mill off of Falls road up in a separated building from the main factory? This is all before it got developed into yuppie condos.
