Guys - What are your favorite travel cases for your rifles?

I'd like to get something big enough for 1 or two long guns, with flexibility to handle a long shotgun, a Springfield or an AR.

Need something that can handle being banged around for maybe 4 trips a year..

I have an SKB double gun case that has served me well for over a dozen trips. It's big and heavy, but it's solid protection. The wheels help a lot with transport.

another idea is a golf club case and you can put your soft-cased long guns in there.

•Firearms must be unloaded and locked in a hard-sided container and transported as checked baggage only

I got a pelican 1750. I checked a couple rifles in Chicago once and instead of waiting in the line with 14000 people they walked up and asked me if I had firearms in my case. I said yes and they sent me to a line where a guy was checking some fishing poles. Made me want to travel with a firearm every time I flew.

My travel case is a custom job done by ICC. Their cases are on the heavy side, but stout. Definitely get a wheeled case, BTW. Pelicans are OK (I used one for a while), but the custom case met my needs a bit better.

I have transported shoguns using a cheap Walmart case.

Later we got custom aluminum cases for the shotguns. These are setup to hold the O/U taken down, so smaller and doesn't look like a gun case.
