    This is so confusing. How can state supersede federal C&R FFL? I know the C&R market is almost dead now but this is shit. I would still like to buy a few more.
    Yeah don't panic yet. If that is true you can use your c&r to buy a handgun out of state but not a rifle. That can't be the way it's going to work.

    That's true for a non licensee buying a long gun out of state of residence. Not so sure it applies to C&R. Otherwise you'd need to do a 77R to buy a C&R pistol out of state with FFL03, which you don't.


    Wouldn't this law supersede what was previously in effect. I don't see where C&R had a carve out under this law. Theoretically you would be able to purchase a hand gun with a C&R but not a long gun?

    That would sure be ironic if the bill results in out of state C&R rifle sales having to go through NICS, while out of state C&R handgun sales didn't. But it may not even be an issue, if Senate language is retained, or no bill passes at all.
