I am a Marylander, all my life, 52 yrs old, just started to get serious about rifles and pistols. My son is very interested and wants to know where is it in print stating types or sizes of shot and or calibur of rifle allowed for hunting deer? Thanks for your comments.

DNR is your friend. I just took the hunters safety class myself. You need it in order to be able to purchase a hunting license.

Welcome,,, I have been deer hunting for 28 yrs. and would suggest at least a .243 for deer, but .270, 30-06 are even better choices.
