We are working with the Gilboa M43 AR rifle in 762 x 39.The Gilboa M-43 was Israeli developed for organizations that presently use firearms chambered for the 7.62x39mm cartridge and uses normal AK 47 mags. This is a interesting rifle and look forward to putting her through the paces.

google is your friend, I am not.
This looks sweet. Is this really an AR in the sense that it takes AR BCGs, triggers, etc. ? The pins look like they are in the right place to swap the upper.

The mag release is inside the trigger guard, is that what I see? hmm.

Curious how many AR pattern components actually get reused. Couldn't really get a feel for that from Atlantic's site.

Interesting. I'll be curious to see any reviews on it.

Never mind, I just read some reviews on it. It does nothing for me.

It’s pretty but I imagine it has the same issues with mags as the psa ak/ar variant. Plus that bolt face looks thin...

hopefully y'all don't run into the same issues the PSA rifle had. I loved the idea and cool factor of that rifle, right up until it started serving up feed issues and raping my magazines.

Yeah I just don’t see how mechanically an AR bolt and a AK mag can ever coexist. Any movement, wobble or pressure on that mag and the bolt lugs will hit the feed lips...

My sig 556R is the only design I’ve found to be reliable.

You put in a magazine stop to do just that. There are some instructions online to weld in pins to prevent the PSA KS-47 from doing that, for instance. The 556R version 1 had an issue where the front lug was not properly held down, and would cause issues... Sig basically made a steel insert to hold it in place, and then stuffed it into the lower as reinforcement.

My understanding is that the Gilboa rifles in the US are _not_ Israeli made, and are made by McKay Industries using the design. Nothing wrong with that, but worth noting.
