Yep, definitely SR15. Not only is everything overbuilt, but they're so smooth with their slow cyclic rate.

If you have an FFL03, you can get a dealer account at Brownells. If you wait for a 10% off coupon, you can get a new SR15 for $1824.

I love my LWRC, but it’s a piston system. It’s built like a tank. LWRC DI are probably just as good. I can’t speak to them, but it’s a newer product for them. I’d probably go DD for DI.

Daniel Defense is top notch as far as DI guns go. Excellent customer service too. Their rifles also have great fit and finish.

I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them.

KAC right out of the gate. SR-15 for sure. I may have a couple to include a couple SR-25s. Clandestine is correct. They are non standard but positively innovative. Their improvements are not gimmicks.

DA, what was your assessment of my Noveske? Be honest, it's for posterity.

Older Noveske stuff is good, while John was alive. But after John died, things went sour. It has turned into a company that you are paying for the name only, like you do with Sony for TV's.

Not sure when you did yours, in relation to the quality drop off time frame.

Totally forgot about LaRue. They make great stuff, but I’m not sure if they’ll ship to Maryland. LaRue would be my top choice for a DI rifle.
