Same here. I always, and ONLY, went there weekdays at 3pm, right after work. Last few times were hectic for some reason. Ironically, went there today and it was great, lol.

Just went up there mid day today for the first time since joining. Really enjoyed the place and it was such a perfect day to shoot outdoors!

There was 6 or 7 people there and they were spread out. I had no problem shooting what or where I wanted.

How crowded is it, "normally", on the weekends?
daNattyFatty went mid-day, on a weekday, so I'd expect them to not be crowded then.
My son and I both plan to attend the orientation Sunday morning.

Since I am retired I never go on weekends to let the people who work have more access I don't know for sure but I have been told that usually you can find a place to shoot at some of the ranges even at the busiest times. There was a problem some years ago before we went to the electronic gate, there were people giving out the combination to friends and neighbors and a lot of non members were using the range but that has been corrected.
Someone who shoots there on weekends may chime in on what to typically expect. During the week you can choose just about anywhere unless something special is going on and even then with multiple ranges for each activity they try to always one open for each discipline.

I think the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. I guess that should help give us an idea of how busy they get.

Well, you can’t shoot before noon on Sundays. When I went to the orientation in March, they had a CMP match starting at noon. I suppose you could hang out for a bit and see if it gets busy on the other ranges.
