Friend just purchased the Stoner 7.62x39 upper for $299. He mounted a Burris red dot, using steel-cased ammo with a Stoner 10 round magazines, zero issues. Dang, that baby is sweet.
Next week, he hopes to test out the 30-round Stoner magazines.
Had a SKS years ago, was thinking about purchasing another one. After watching the performance of his configuration and the option of larger magazines. A Stoner AR 7.62x39 upper is on my to-do-list.
