Hey all, I have a really quick question I'm hoping you can help me with. My Titan tree stand is in Dallas atm and I'm flying there next week. Have any of you ever checked a stand as luggage? Do you know if it's allowable? I'm thinking if I zip tie all the pieces together it may not be an issue.

    Thanks,

Call the airline and run your idea by them.

    They'd know best.

Strap a backpack onto it,tape down all loose straps as you would if flying with a backpack.

Thanks ya'll. I just got off the phone with the airline. I was hesitant to call them because I figure a good majority of the operators wouldn't know what a tree stand was. Luckily, I spoke with a lady that worked at Bass Pro! She said I shouldn't have any problems as long as I can get it in a box or bag of some sort.

If you have sharp edges sticking out, it will be a problem no doubt.
Maybe find a used old hockey bag and put it in it.
Get a $ store pool noodle and wrap any sharp edges with a cut piece of pool noodle and duct tape.
