I don't see much advantage over an AR pistol, unless you live in a place where AR pistols aren't available. 300 Blackout and 5.56 are reasonable choices for shorter barrels.

Not sure why they'd offer this in .308, unless you like concussion and fireballs, of course.

What a weird ass gun, and where does it actually fit in the market? Oddly though, I want one. Zero clue what I’d use it for, but my gun hoarding gene is telling me to buy one. However, if I’m shooting this as a right-handed pistol, I think they should’ve located the bolt handle on the left side. That will be an awkward racking of the bolt on follow up shots.

Tacticool Thompson Contender with bolt action and detachable magazine?

Remington's marketing department needs to call Hollywood for product placement getting this in an action movie to drum up customer interest.

what a modern XP100 pistol? 221 FB or 7mm-08, like
mentioned throw a bipod on it..seems front heavy, the
    XP100 221 FB with a Leupold 4X EER makes a decent
varmint pistol loaded with some 50gr Blitz bullets.
Seems like Remington's R&D department is thinking
something else. The XP100 is balanced pretty good with
the center grip, considering. The T/C Contender with a
14" tube is front heavy. If memory serves me correctly
the XP100, Rem 660, Rem 600 all had the same action,
gotta look, don't have them handy here, so it seems we
are doing a re-hash of back then only using a 700 action,
and playng on the word usage hype.

And yes ...you will get a nice fireball in .308 or 7mm-08
basically depending on what powder you use, but it
    will get noticed.

As a righty though, even with a bipod it seems like a problem to have to forfeit your only point of contact with the pistol to run the bolt, or do the lefty over-the-top reach around. With a rifle, the stock is still in contact with the shoulder providing support and retention, and many people still use their left/support hand as well. I imagine lefty pistol shooters will love this gun, being able to run the bolt simply with their right hands. Righties though.... I need to see more videos and reviews on this. As much as I like this idea, as of now I’m guessing that this could be a complete swing and miss by big R.

    As a pistol? Meh.

As an SBR? HELL YES. Especially given how fast eForm 1s are running these days, you're just a couple weeks and $200 away from having your folding stock, suppressor capable, MLOK-ready urban counter-sniper rifle.

This one appears ready to take a buffer tube, so adding an arm brace could happen right away. Doesn't make it a lot different from an AR pistol, though.

12.5" barrel, so 150 gr should be going 2400 fps or so. put a suppressor on it, and the length is still reasonable. Should be a handy little gun for shooting deer and hogs out to a few hundred yards.

Intended to be arm braced or SBR.

This in 300blk seems pretty cool. This reminds me of the ol' tennyson champion...

Sig is releasing the Cross this year for about $900. Seems like a much better option
