Does anyone know where I can get FFg black powder near Bel Air? My buddy swears that Gettysburg is the closest, and he may be right, but it's also sixty miles away. I'll go if I have to, but closer would be nice.

Not looking for Pyrodex or substitutes. Not this time, anyway. I'm setting up a soda can mortar. I'll have photos and hopefully action video a little later. Gotta get some black powder first.

FYI - Cabela's in Christiana didn't have any the last time I was there. And it's a long drive for "maybe". Luckily that wasn't the only reason I went.

Oh yeah, another spool of cannon fuse fuse might be good, too.

    Thanks, Dutch

You could call autumn sky outfitters. Can't say for sure about FFg but they do sell black powder supplies.

I will definitely call Autumn Sky. They're right around the corner.

I have been to the Gun Shack, but not lately. That'd be my backup choice. Probably a nice back roads ride on the motorcycle. A few pounds of black powder won't be hard to get in my tank bag.

    Thank you, gents.

Yes Village Arms in Gap (above post) has FFG black powder in stock. I bought one can and they had at least 4 left, ask for it at the counter. They also had at least 45 different types of smokeless powder on the shelf, plenty of ammo, lots of primers and both No.10 and No.11 percussion caps in stock.
