    So...

    I took the online class, and then just did a marathon session at the IWL Germantown.

    I passed and received my Maryland Natural Resources Police Hunter Education Program card.

    Here are my questions:

    I this card that I received for life, or do I need to take this safety class every year?

    Is this card just for Maryland, or can I use it in other states as well?

    I am not sure of the exact question , but it was a two part test/quiz for me a year or two ago .

    Online class quiz for the first part , then the second part was a classroom quiz and walk-thru at a local gun club .

    Mine was an online study then test. This gives you a certificate to take the one day class.

    Then 8 hrs classroom.

    Field w/live fire, and then another 50 question test.

    Yes correct , we are talking about the same thing . Kudos it is a lifetime thing as others have said .

    I don't hunt but I needed mine to join a private gun club as one of the conditions .

    I have the HQL, but might be interested in the CCW.

    What do I need to do to apply for that?

    Take a picture on your phone, scan to pdf, make copies and place the original card in your gun safe for when the original may be necessary. Retrieving your number from the DNR is not an easy task.

    Great job earning your safety certificate.
