    Stock Adapters.

These products allow the use of AR15 accessories on a Ruger 10/22
[EDIT - the first pic below shows a 10" carbon fiber "free-float tube" that is designed to be used with the chassis]

The 10-22 is such an awesome gun.........out of the box they are cool looking. The new "Lite" is visually AMAZING and then this??? WTF is this??? I can't back you on this boss!!

I do however hope it improves your accuracy and enhances the fun you have shooting the gun!

Just thought having the option of using your choice of AR butt stock would be awesome.

The new 10/22 lite is amazing - but that's not what I've got.

If you are at that point, why not just get a 15-22? I'm just curious. To ME, the only 10-22 I want (badly) is the takedown edition maybe in a Magpul stock...

Because this is what I have now. It's not a 15/22, it's not a 10/22 lite, it's not a take-down 10/22. It's a plain Jane 10/22 carbine. So you guys think this rig is not worth customizing? I mean it's not bad.

If someone like the OP already has a 10-22 and wants to customize it that's a situation where I can understand buying AR15 style modifications for a 10-22. But if a someone reading this thread does not already own a 10-22 and wants a rimfire rifle that has AR15 style features the S&W 15-22 is a better choice than buying a 10-22 and making the AR15 style modifications.

Absolutely! And as mentioned previously there are various 10/22 offerings out of the box that ain't too bad either.

The 10/22 IMO has a much higher accuracy potential than any of the semi auto tactical rimfire rifles made. You could start with an accurate barreled action and make it as tactical or as sleeper as you want. I sold this one because I couldn't afford to feed it ammo, she had expensive taste.

I agree the accuracy potential of the 10/22 is higher than any off the shelf AR-22 setup. The original Tactical 22 test in American Rifleman all those years ago showed the Ruger SR-22 rifle and the Remington 597 VTR rifle neck and neck for accuracy well above even the Sig 522 which came out third.
If all you want is an adjustable stock that you can change to another AR stock then all you need is the Blackhawk/Knoxx axiom stock. Its the lightest stock you can put under a 10/22 action. It uses a commercial sized buffer tube. I have 2 of them and use a Magpul Fixed Carbine stock on both of mine.
