Where'd I put that "Bubbafication" thread...
That's sweet. I would trade out an AR to fund one of those.
As would I. Another really cool option is to SBR a Henry Mares Leg 357. That's a badass little rifle.
Is the OAL good to go in MD on the Mares Leg SBR?
Personally if I had the means I would love to take many old school firearms and modernize them with some modern manufacturing/materials..such as higher quality stocks/braces, grips, regular use of billet Aluminum, Carbon Fiber ,better triggers and sights, cerakoting/anodizing/titanium, mlok handguards/pic rails integrally suppressed barrels or threaded barrels etc.
I would start with the AK, old revolvers, lever actions, shotguns, 1911’s, literally everything Remington/Colt/HK lol
Getting my flame suit on after this post
No flames.... whatever floats your boat, but speaking for myself, I like my classic firearms to be classic.
Nooooooooo !
The whole point of Old School is to BE Old School . Both to appreciate old school goodness for its own sake, and to be low profile . Why would you make it ugly and ill handling ?
As noted , no 29in OAL for lever actions.
If your primary goal is to run suppressed , you are better off going with a .44 or .45 , instead of .38/357 . A large 240-300gr bullet @ +/- 1000fps is better than medium dia 158-180gr @ +/- 1000fps .
Sometimes just because you can doesn't mean you should. I don't like it at all. What's next, a Tacticool black powder pistol?
Oh wait....
Yeah I get that, I think a threaded barrel is a bit different. It has thread protectors if you don't need it don't use it. BUT if you want to use it, it's there. Does a threaded barrel constitute tactical in your book? Have any of you heard of evolution, these firearms and their manufacturers are evolving. They still produce the Brass Octagon Barrel Lever Action for the folks who choose to live in the Civil War era or there about.
Have it both ways
Interesting, wouldn't be my pick but I can see what they were going for.
There nexst project
