The Tubb gives you the ability to add buffer weight without buying new buffers, so it fixes the buffer detent issue and possibly can help if it truly is overgassed. They include 2 weights with the kit.

A Tubb Flat Wire Spring may help with the ejection pattern and can help smooth the recoil impulse because the spring does not come close to solid height when compressed.

If you go adjustable Gas the SLR is the only one worth buying. There is no need to buy more buffers with adjustable gas. The std A5 buffer will be fine.

Im glad to help. I truly enjoy helping in threads like this.

Will vouch for this. I built my 300 under Chad's supervision. I use Tubb's springs in all my AR s but one(JP), and with my 300, my cases form a neat pile in a 6" circle at 5:00 off my bench. Albeit, dented at the rim.
