    Hi All,

Glad to be able to join this forum to learn and hopefully contribute.

Grew up just north of Washington DC, but now reside in Baltimore City (Canton).

    Thanks!

Welcome. Also a city resident here (Hampden area), and I used to live just off little Patterson Park. Got sick of the traffic, parking, and frat boys pissing in the ally (they're worse than the homeless in that part of the city). From what I've seen so far, a lot of people in the forum think the entire city looks like the intersection of Pennsylvania and North Fulton...I see things very differently, but maybe that's just the rose-colored glasses I'm wearing. Anyway, glad to see another city resident join.

Thanks man. To outsiders, anytime i mention Baltimore city they shudder. I live below the park and it's great. I live in an alley street so your sentiment about Frat boys is very relevant lol.

What school is close to you ? Curious what Fraternities you are speaking of......

Hopkins certainly comes to mind...but I was referring to the common, and easily identifiable, party-goers in the neighbourhoods of Canton, Fells Point, or Federal Hill. Some of them are city residents, some of them come from the surrounding counties, most of them are fresh out of college with Dad's credit card handy, and a few of them are the over-thirty crowd that still think they're in college. They tend to fall into a narrow category of overly drunk, naive, and exceedingly wealthy for their age, a danger to themselves and others. While 'greek' affiliation may or may not be listed on their resume, society has seen fit to identify "Frat Boy" as a distinguishable stereotype.

Side note: I was a member of a very old organization in college that used greek letters as an identifier. However, I do not list it on my resume. One's actions tend to speak louder than one's affiliations.
