The Ruger American LRT was on a short list of .22's that had all the features I was seeking without an astronomical price tag. When I saw MDeng recently post one for sale in the MDS Classifieds, that was all the incentive I needed.

Nice! When I saw that one posted in the classifieds I started looking at these. Still may buy one.

Okay homie I’m loving this. Why should i grab this over the .22 RPR?

I bought the first Ruger American 22 and got get dialed in good and like it but i love that stock and haven’t bought a gun in over a year.

Thanks! Hmmm...good question. Two reasons, I think. One, because you prefer the look of a rifle stock over a rifle chassis. Two, because Ruger seems to have fixed the extraction issues that some previous generation RPR's were reported to have. I'm not sure if one really shoots any better than the other, though. Maybe I can get Schipperke to bring his RPR up to Frederick for a side-by-side comparison some time. That would be cool.

I set it up for pest control and plinking vs. shooting sub-MOA 100-yd groups with SV ammo. I'm dubious about its ability to do that anyway. Maybe with some expensive chit, like Lapua Center-X, and a big, honkin' ass expensive optic that cost the same as a three-day weekend in Vegas with ERuby. :innocent0

I mounted a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 with a fine duplex reticle in 1" Leupold low rings. Should be gtg for hunting unwanted critters and rogue beer cans from a reasonably long distance for .22 LR.

The only modification I've made (so far) is to install a Timney because I prefer a single stage trigger over a bladed trigger. I'm also putting a Harris BR bipod on it this weekend.

I just got around to putting my ProMag Archangel stock on my Ruger 10/22.

It is pretty slick how it makes a standard Ruger 10/22 into a take-down model with a folding stock. It makes it real handy to pack.

Attached are some before and after pictures. The overall look hardly changes but my Ruger was the cheapest available model. LOL As a matter of fact, I believe that I paid just about the same amount for the stock as I did for the original rifle.

As well as room for the barrel, the butt stock comb has storage space for junk like extra ammo or earplugs etc.

It works by using a little lever to wedge the barrel to the stock in place of the factory hardware. I am kind of impressed at how simple and well it works.

Picked this up at the Frederick Gun Show from Brian at SCSG...new AR-7. It seems a nice piece but I can't say I like the orange plastic front sight. I'm going to see if I can get a steel sight to replace it with...same dovetail as the original. I already have an original Armalite AR-7 which I really like but it's only reliable with original Armalite magazines...later mags are really problematic regardless of how say they interchange. The Armalite example also weighs less...nearly a pound less. I'll have to shoot them along side one another and compare.

I saw one of these on Armslist a while ago. Blued, full length stock, some type of aftermarket M16 sights and a leather sling. It was beautiful and I didn't buy it and I should have.

Here's a couple you don't see every day. The top photo is a S&W model 48-2 (22 mrf). The top one in the bottom photo is a Colt Officers Model Special, 4th issue (22lr). It was made around 1949. It is hands down the most accurate revolver I own. The bottom one is the same model in 38 special.

It's another Kamal Harris inspired purchase. Found it on GunBroker and got it at a decent price (considering todays prices).

Putting a Skinner 10/22 peep sight on it and a narrow, Amish made leather sling.
