    Guys,

    Getting the precision rifle bug. Any idea why savage only offers single shot for stripped actions? Like to have a magazine slot.

    I could always just buy the 10 Stealth, but would like to put it together myself. You can buy 700 actions with mag slots without problems.

    Those are the target action, they're extra stiff because they don't have a slot milled in them. You need to look for a package gun and strip it. Check BudsGunShop or the other usual suspects and you'll find a super-cheap package rifle in your caliber of choice. You can often find an entire rifle cheaper than a bare action. No idea why, but there it is.
