I saw a consignment 239 in .40. The only caliber markings were on the barrel and i was told the 357 and 40mags were he same. I dont recall seeing a caliber marking. Seller said he might have a 357 barrel for it. Anyone convert a 40 to 357...sig 239 specifically. Thanks.

I know this is true for the P226. I can’t imagine it being much different for the 239.

All you need to do is swap the barrel to go from .40 to .357 and back again in any of the classic P-series SIGs. Mags are the same. You can't go 9mm as easily, (OD of the barrels are different) but .40 / .357 is easy.

This post gave me some ideas for my P226. I'd like to get a .357 Sig conversion barrel. ...FWIW, I saw this note on the Midway USA site:

With these Sigarms factory barrels, you can convert your 40 S&W to 357 SIG. These barrels are made of blue chrome moly steel. If converting the P239, a new magazine will be required (sold separately). Other models require no magazine change.
