My name is Jim and I am of the baby boomer era. My wife and I purchased a house in Trappe almost 9 years ago.

I’ve been a trap and skeet shooter since my late 20’s, but have lapsed in recent years, and now am getting back to it.

I am looking forward to continuing to learn from and begin participating in the excellent dialogues here on Maryland Shooters. And to contributing financially to the organization.

    Jim

    Welcome!

Welcome back to shotgunning!! You've got a number of great shotgun clubs on the Eastern shores. If you're interested in recreational or registered skeet, these clubs have the greatest bunch of guys you'll meet. The Maryland registered skeet community is VERY active and welcoming, should you wish to compete.

    Salisbury:

    Sudlersville:

    Dupont: http://www.dfga.org/

Easton has a nice club (Talbot Rod and Gun) but they don't throw many (any) competitive skeet targets any more.

Thank you all for taking the time to write these very nice replies. Hoppes-no9 and Seagrave1963: I'm going to look into each of these venues - thanks for the info. I visited Talbot on Saturday at DuckSlayer's invitation, and Hoppes-no9 you are so correct - the shooters really are a great bunch of guys (especially DuckSlayer) who are incredibly open and sincere, and obviously have a good time shooting. It was a very enjoyable few hours experience.
