The Mid Atlantic Rimfire Series (MARS) is a year long cumulative points competition for practical 22LR precision rifle shooters. MARS is a completely volunteer effort designed to give back to the shooting community by providing: affordable, competitive outlets for practical style rimfire shooters; practice opportunities for precision centerfire shooters; and accessible, beginner friendly options for new shooters. Would you be willing to describe what your matches entail? I looked at your rule book, but i didn’t see what the match actually is.

These matches are a ton of fun. You are shooting 22LR rifles from distances of 20 yards out to 300 yards from multiple positions. Here are some sample videos that show some of the stages.

dgapilot, our matches are basically like mini or peewee PRS or precision rifle matches. We have the same type of course of fire except with shorter distances for rimfire. What a fantastic example of why everyone needs to lean on their MD legislators to stop the insane new bill that would ban clubs (and even just members of clubs) like this from lending each other rifles without doing a formal transfer with a 7-day waiting period.
