And this Supplemental Amicus Brief filed by the CRPA FOUNDATION and others is very nicely done and an excellent source of real facts.

And this Supplemental Amicus Brief filed by the CRPA FOUNDATION and others is very nicely done and an excellent source of real facts.

That brief is an excellent point by point refuting of the anti gun (state and amici) so called facts presented. Well worth the read and something to bookmark for future reference when you want to counter these same hackneyed so called "Facts" that are so often repeated by the media and other anti supporters. Probably should send a copy to all the lawmakers because you will hear these phony points are often the repeated "Facts" at hearings.

I particularly enjoyed the way they traced the origin of the following statement to it's roots.:
“automatic firing of all the ammunition in a thirty-round magazine takes two
seconds, whereas a semiautomatic rifle can empty the same magazine in about five
    seconds.”

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Joseph Goebbels

The Brady Center need to know “How to Fly a Horse” Better yet, they need to take Frosh and teach him to be helpful. Jack can help Frosh off the horse, and Frosh can help jack off the horse!!

Reading the brief I find this to be quite amusing. My highlighting not theirs.

Instead, like all firearms that are not fully automatic—whether
    semi-automatic rifles, semi-automatic pistols, revolvers, semi-automatic shotguns,
pump action shotguns, bolt-action rifles, slide action rifles, or lever action rifles—
the operator pulls the trigger once, and the gun goes bang once.

The mysterious Horse Flying Kevin Ashton seems like a likely pick as an expert for the antis.

He is British and has no determinable expertise in guns, mass murder or physics:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Ashton

However in two hours he did create a social media guru out of thin air and $50.00 i.e. Santiago Swallow. So he has a lot of experience in hoodwinking people.:

The following quote from the article may give insight on where the antis find their experts:
Ashton said there are individuals on Twitter with a surprisingly large number of followers who brand themselves as experts in something in order to sell self-published books or their own consultancy services.

It is interesting the Brady bunch really liked whatever was supposedly said in "The Physics of Mass Killing" because they referred to it in multiple briefs and motions in at least three different cases. (Goggle search on "The Physics of Mass Killing" in quotes)

But it looks like no one liked it enough to copy the document because all the references I can find all lead back to the same non existent web page.

This sounds like an opportunity to create a webpage "The Physics of Mass Killing" that on the face appears anti, but actually takes apart the anti argument. The provocative URL would attract the antis, driving up the visitor count. The more ridiculous the content the better!

Washington post article said Baltimore had 344 killings in 2015 up from 211 the year before.

Wonder how many of those were firearm related and what Frosh and the others will say to refute the fact that murders are up even with a ban on many firearms and magazines.

    An example from dictionary.com

    Usage note:

A distaff is the stick onto which wool or flax is wound in spinning. Since spinning was traditionally done by females, distaff took on figurative meanings relating to women or women’s work. In the sense of “female,” the noun distaff is archaic, but the adjective is in current use: distaff chores, a distaff point of view; the distaff side of the family.

Frosh et al will state the law hasn't been in effect long enough for meaningful data to be collected

At least Daniel Webster will spin it that way.

That should be irrelevant under strict scrutiny - basically, find other means with which to work to insure public safety, but do it without trying to limit an enumerated right. It's said right there in Heller, which is in turn quoted by the NRA's brief in Kolbe:

Yet the majority in Heller did not even discuss the District’s interest in preventing violent crime, except to note that while “[t]he Constitution leaves the District of Columbia a variety of tools for combating that problem, . . . the enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table. These include the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home.” Heller, 554 U.S. at 636.

That could go on fer years, UNTIL the first year the murder rate happens to drop below that of the year before.

THEN the Firearms Stupidity Act will have been workin' perfectly since it's passage.
